Why this is real redaction
The saved image is flattened: the boxes become part of the picture and the original pixels
underneath are discarded. Unlike drawing a shape in some editors (which keep the original layer), or
blur/pixelation (which can sometimes be reversed), a solid box here cannot be undone from the copy.
The saved copy also has no metadata (it's re-encoded fresh) — so location and camera data go too.
It only hides what your boxes cover. Anything else visible in the image is still there — check the
whole frame, including reflections and backgrounds.
Everything happens in your browser. Open the page source: there is no network code; nothing is sent.
