What it finds — and what it can’t
- Removes invisible & formatting characters: zero-width spaces/joiners, the byte-order mark, soft
hyphens, bidirectional overrides (the “Trojan Source” trick), and invisible tag characters —
the kinds used to hide fingerprints or trackers in ordinary-looking text.
- Normalises unusual spaces (non-breaking, narrow, ideographic…) to a plain space, so the text
searches and pastes cleanly.
- It doesn’t change any visible character, and it can’t detect a watermark hidden in wording
or style (only in the character stream). It also can’t know who, if anyone, placed a marker.
- Everything runs in your browser — open the page source; nothing is sent.
