See for yourself.

Some things you can’t really learn by being told — how a feed quietly narrows your world, how an agreeable AI bends your judgment, what a manufactured “crowd” is made of, what it feels like to walk through a door that only opens once. So here you don’t get told. You get to do it.

Each of these is a small, hands-on experience: you make the choices, watch what happens, and feel the dynamic from the inside — then it’s named, so you’ll spot it in the wild. Pick any one; they’re a couple of minutes each. Everything runs on your device — no accounts, no tracking. Free to copy and reuse.

Why these exist. The hardest part of handling power — yours or the kind aimed at you — is that most of it is abstract until it isn’t. These make it concrete while the stakes are still imaginary, so the instinct is real when the stakes aren’t. They’re the hands-on companion to the Wits About You guides: the guides tell you what to do; these let you feel why. Built to make you a little harder to push around.

Felt it — and want to do something? The Tools are working utilities for exactly these forces: strip the hidden location from a photo, clean the tracking off a link, check whether an email is really who it claims.

A growing set, built with care and given freely (CC0). Works offline — open any page’s source and nothing phones home.
